Production is an integral part of the training module, as participants in the workshops are requested to produce short animated films, which are further distributed to animation festivals and international partner broadcasters such as Canal France International (CFI) and others.
The project’s Production Component aims at offering professional animation production services to other institutions, in order to facilitate the further employment of the graduates by providing them with ‘real-life’ production situations and raise awareness about animation as a genre.
In this regard, UNESCO’s position within the United Nations has allowed including agencies such as UNICEF, UNDP and UNEP as partners of Africa Animated! Two projects have been identified which could start a co-production cycle:
